NFA Markings

National Firearms Act Markings or better known as NFA Marking, is a government-required compliance marking for individuals, trusts, or legal entities that initially created the NFA firearm. JDL Engraving & More meet this marking requirement.

• The markings should be placed conspicuously on the firearm.
• The markings should be created such that they cannot be easily removed or altered.
• The markings should be made to a minimum depth of 0.003 inches and print size of ≥0.0625 inches.

Here at Alpha Gunworks LLC, deep engraving is classified as removing material below the depth of 0.03 inch. Even though NFA Engraving only requires .003, we go beyond to avoid any issues with coating filling in the engraving and not obtaining the .003 minimum required.  So why your firearm is getting an NFA engraving we would be happy to do any other firearm engraving for you to save you time.

Laser engrave HK symbols and markings (aka: proof marks) for H&K receivers, frames, barrels, and slides.   This is done with Deep Engraving of .03 which is much deer than the definition of .003. which is usually used for NFA Engraving.

Laser Stippling

Laser Stippling is the process of using high-powered lasers to burn or cut away material. The high power of a laser can cause small holes to be burned or cut into the surface of the pistol grip. These holes then allow the user to apply textures to the grip.  This will enhance any type of firearm engraving you acquire more us.
